INTERNSHIPS
Judge Lerner is now accepting judicial internship applications for Summer 2026. Interns should be able to work approximately 30-40 hours per week. Interns are expected to work in-person Monday through Thursday (with flexibility), and our chambers is typically remote on Fridays.
Interested students should send applications by email to Lerner_Chambers@cfc.uscourts.gov. Applications should include a cover letter, resume, writing sample (no more than 10 pages), and law school unofficial transcript, if available. Please attach all documents in a single PDF. Our chambers does not expect to review applications prior to January 5, but please let us know if you need an earlier decision.
We strive to provide judicial interns with an enriching and interesting internship experience. Interns can expect a collegial chambers environment, frequent communication and interaction with Judge Lerner, and opportunities to attend hearings and other Court events. Our judicial interns are tasked with engaging writing assignments throughout the summer and often come away with a strong legal writing sample. Chambers is pet and plant friendly and regularly provides snacks and baked goods.
