Molly Elkin is a partner in the law firm of McGillivary Steele Elkin LLP in Washington, D.C. where she represents unions and employees in class actions and large multi-plaintiff wage and hour litigation. Prior to joining McGillivary Steele Elkin LLP in 1996, she served as Assistant Counsel for the National Treasury Employees Union. Ms. Elkin has successfully represented unions and employees in over 75 Fair Labor Standards Act overtime pay cases in court and in arbitration, including in "-hybrid" FLSA/Rule 23 wage and hour lawsuits. From 2003- 2009, Ms. Elkin was the Union- Employee Co-Chair of the ABA's Labor and Employment Section's Federal Labor Standards Legislation Committee, which has jurisdiction over the FLSA. From 2003 through 2005, she was the Chair of the District of Columbia Bar's Steering Committee for Labor and Employment Law. She is a 1993 honors graduate of George Washington University School of Law. Since 2007, she has served on the Board of the PEN/Faulkner Foundation, and is a former Board member of the Government Accountability Project, a non-profit organization that protects whistleblowers. In 2014, Ms. Elkin was appointed to serve on the U.S. Court of Federal Claims 2014-2015 Advisory Council on Military and Civilian Pay issues.
