Stuart B. Nibley

Stuart ("Stu") Nibley is a partner in the firm's Washington, D.C. office and focuses his practice on both counseling and dispute resolution on behalf of government contractors. Stu's most active areas of practice include internal investigations, mandatory disclosure and defense of fraud proceedings, and bid protests.

Mr. Nibley currently serves as Chair of the American Bar Association's Public Contract Law Section. He recently concluded roles on the Section's Council, Co-Chair of the Section's General Interest Division, Co-Chair of the Contract Claims and Disputes Resolution Committee, Co-Chair of the Privatization and Outsourcing Committee, Co-Chair of the Bid Protest Committee, a mentor in the Section's Mentor Program for Scholarship Members, a member of the Task Force to Develop Best Practices for Mandatory Disclosure, Chair of the Section's comprehensive study of Board of Contract Appeals, and Co-Chair of the Section 2011 and 2009 Annual Meeting Educational Programs. Mr. Nibley was recently appointed to the U.S. Court of Federal Claims Advisory Council and its Bid Protest Committee. Mr. Nibley also serves as a member of the National Defense Industrial Association's Procurement Executive Committee and past chair of the Legal Subcommittee. He was recently re-appointed to the Executive Advisory Council for the National Contract Management Association. He is a member of the Board of Advisors for Thomson Reuters West Publications' The Government Contractor and has spoken each year for nearly two decades at Thomson-West's Annual Government Contracts Year in Review Conference.
