CLERKSHIPS

Judge Holte hires three one-year term law clerks to start in the fall of each year. Term law clerks are usually hired 2-3 years in advance of their start date, and applications are accepted for those who will be starting the clerkship either immediately after law school or after 1-3 years in practice. Applicants should apply by email to CFC_Holte_Hiring@cfc.uscourts.gov [1], or by mailing a paper application via USPS to chambers. Clerkship applications should include a cover letter, resume, writing sample, law school transcript, and two letters of recommendation. At least one of the letters of recommendation should be from a law professor.  

EXTERNSHIPS

Judge Holte hires judicial externs for the fall, spring, and summer terms every year. Interested law students should send applications by email to CFC_Holte_Hiring@cfc.uscourts.gov [1]. An application should include a cover letter, resume, undergraduate transcript, law school transcript (if available), and a list of two references.
