Richard A. Hertling

Richard A. Hertling was confirmed by the Senate and sworn in as a judge of the United States Court of Federal Claims in June 2019.  Born and raised in New York City, he graduated from Brown University and received his law degree from the University of Chicago Law School.  He is admitted to practice in New York and the District of Columbia.

Daniel Horner Sworn in as Special Master in the Vaccine Program

On June 3, 2019, Daniel Horner was sworn in as a Special Master of the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program within the United States Court of Federal Claims.  Special Master Horner will carry out the functions authorized by the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986, 42 U.S.C. §§ 300aa-1 to -34.

Special Master Laura D. Millman to Retire After 28 Years of Service

Special Master Laura D. Millman will be retiring on May 31, 2019, after 28 years of service with the United States Court of Federal Claims Office of Special Masters.

Special Master Millman received a B.A. degree cum laude in English from the City College of New York in 1966 and an M.A. degree in English from Herbert H. Lehman College in 1971. After college, she spent several years teaching high school English in the Bronx.

Recall of Senior Judge Bohdan A. Futey

Senior Judge Bohdan A. Futey has been recalled to active service for a 90-day period effective May 6, 2019.

Until further notice, Open Court Admissions will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday of the first full week in every month. Applicants for admission must appear in the clerk's office no later than 10:30 a.m. to complete the items listed in RCFC 83.1(b)(2)(A)(i).
