Statement by Chief Judge Hewitt Concerning Possible Lapse in Funding (04/07/11)
In view of the possible imminent lapse of appropriated funds, litigants are hereby notified that, in order to ensure continuous access to the courts, the court, including the Office of Special Masters, will continue to hear and decide cases without interruption. Accordingly, litigants are advised that cases will be processed and argued and judgments will be issued and enforced as in the ordinary course of the court's conduct of affairs. The court therefore does not expect to issue continuances based on the lapse or anticipated lapse of appropriated funds and will adhere to schedules currently in effect.
