Death Announcement: Judge Reginald Walker Gibson, 1927-2018

Judge Reginald Walker Gibson, of the United States Court of Federal Claims, died Sunday, December 9, 2018, at the age of 91. Judge Gibson was appointed to the United States Court of Federal Claims by President Ronald Reagan and joined the bench on December 10, 1982. He took senior judge status on August 15, 1995.

Judge Gibson was born in Lynchburg, Virginia in 1927. He graduated from Cardozo High School in 1945 and entered military service in the U.S. Army. Afterwards, he received his B.S degree in accounting from Virginia Union University in 1952 and his J.D. from Howard University School of Law in 1956.

Judge Gibson worked for the Internal Revenue Service, a trial attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice, Tax Division, and a General Tax Attorney for International Harvester Company prior to his appointment to the court.

Funeral services will be private.
