Lisa Hamilton-Fieldman was appointed Special Master of the United States Court of Federal Claims on March 4, 2013. She graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a B.A. in Political Science in 1980, and she received her J.D. from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1987.
Prior to her appointment to the Office of Special Masters, beginning in 1998, Special Master Hamilton-Fieldman served as the Civil Litigation Magistrate for the 20th Judicial District of Colorado in Boulder, CO. She concurrently served as a Municipal Judge for the Towns of Nederland, CO and Flagler, CO. Between 1995 and 1998, she worked as an Administrative Law Judge for the Colorado Public Utilities Commission, as a part-time Municipal Judge for several Denver metropolitan area cities, and as a Hearing Officer for various city and county boards. From 1993 to 1995 she served as a Hearing Officer for the United States Department of Energy, Rocky Flats Facility, Colorado. She is admitted to the bars of Colorado, the United States District Court for the District of Colorado, and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.
