On January 14, 2013 Chief Judge Emily C. Hewitt of the United States Court of Federal Claims (USCFC) announced the appointment of Nora Beth Dorsey as a Special Master of the Office of Special Masters. As part of the Office of Special Masters, which is located within the USCFC, Special Master Dorsey will carry out the functions authorized by the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act, codified at 42 U.S.C. §§ 300aa-1-34, including the conduct of proceedings to determine compensation under the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (Vaccine Program).
