Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

The United States Court of Federal Claims (USCFC) is actively monitoring new developments regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

The USCFC is undertaking added measures to protect staff and visitors as concern over COVID-19 spreads throughout the legal community.

Eleni M. Roumel took the oath of office on February 24, 2020, as Judge of the United States Court of Federal Claims.

Eleni M. Roumel took the oath of office on February 24, 2020, as Judge of the United States Court of Federal Claims.  President Donald J. Trump nominated Judge Roumel on June 24, 2019, the United States Senate confirmed her on January 8, 2020, and the President appointed to her a 15-year term on February 24, 2020.  Vice President Mike Pence administered the oath of office.

Matthew H. Solomson took the oath of office on February 4, 2020, as Judge of the United States Court of Federal Claims.

Matthew H. Solomson took the oath of office on February 4, 2020, as Judge of the United States Court of Federal Claims. Judge Solomson was nominated by President Trump on March 1, 2019, confirmed by the Senate on January 8, 2020, and appointed by the President to a 15-year term on February 3, 2020. The oath of office was administered by Chief Judge Margaret M. Sweeney.

Chief Special Master Dorsey to step down as chief special master effective September 30, 2019

On September 1, 2015, I was designated Chief Special Master by the Court and have had the honor and privilege of holding that title for four years.  After thoughtful consideration, I have informed Chief Judge Sweeney of my desire to step down as chief, and to return to the position of special master effective at the end of this fiscal year, September 30, 2019.  I am extremely grateful for the kindness shown to me and the support for the Office of Special Masters and its mission during my tenure as chief.
